On December 31, 2009 the Union County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to adopt Cultivating Community: A Plan for Union County's Future as the new county comprehensive plan. The link below will open a PDF of the Plan for your review.

Final Plan Document
After final printing the following locations will have copies of the Plan on display for review:
- Union County Courthouse in Lewisburg
- Union County Government Center on 15th Street in Lewisburg
- Union County Building at Chestnut Street in Mifflinburg (old Mifflinburg Bank Building) in the Penn State Extension Office
- Union County Public Library, Herr Memorial Library, and the West End Library
- All Township and Borough offices
